Anyone who has spent any time camping understands how important it is to have good , quality equipment. This is particularly important when it comes to canvas tents and tent flys. As a historic demonstrator canvas plays a huge part in my set-ups. More than once I have spent the night in a wet bed because of poor quality canvass.
This brings me to my first ever "Cracker Historian Endorsement".
A few months ago a bought a canvas tent fly from Red Hawk Trading Company. The people were an absolute delight to deal with. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to get me the canvas I needed in the short time I needed it in. As wonderful as that all is, it means nothing if they provide an inferior product. LET ME ASSURE YOU....THEIR STUFF IF FIRST CLASS!
Need a testimony?? Here it is;
This past weekend I had the ole chuck tent set up to cook for a group of hungry scout leaders at a 4 day camp out. On Saturday we were subjected to one of the worst frog-stranglin gully washers I've experienced in a long time. In a span of 30 minutes we were pummeled with 3 inches of rain and steady winds. When everything was said and done, the tent fly still stood and not one drop of water had soaked through it. I could not have been more pleased with the performance of the dining fly.
To any of you looking for canvas tents, dining flys, or anything of the like, I would strongly recommend redhawktrading.com . You will not be disappointed.
